IRAANZ

Industrial Rope Access Association of New Zealand

NZIA wishing to maintain our high level of service we provide are proud members of the Association and believe it has benefits to all parties involved.

The objectives of the association are as follows:

The Industrial Rope Access Association of New Zealand was formed to help regulate and develop the industry at a time when there were no regulations at all. The Association has come a long way since then.

IRAANZ has nationwide membership as well as recognition from OSH as the body representing the industry.

Advanced abseiling techniques are adapted to a wide variety of situations where access by other means would be considered impractical, inconvenient or expensive. This has resulted in abseiling becoming an acceptable industry practice over the last few years and the industry will only continue to grow in years to come.

There are certain standards that apply to the rope access industry, and rope access technicians are required to abide by these standards, regardless of whether they are IRAANZ members or not. Failing to do so could result in prosecution by OSH.

If you have any queries regarding the Association please do not hesitate to contact me anytime.
